Wow, what a great meeting we had this month!
It was our first time offering classes for people wanting to learn to crochet, and it went so well! All the spots in our beginner class filled up very quickly, and we had a nice group for our intermediate class as well.

I’m so thankful for our volunteers that made the day possible. From our teacher, Karissa to all the ladies who were willing to help our new friends it was a success all around! We’re especially hopeful that some of our guests will decide to join us again in the future.
We also packaged 32 scarves – special thanks to one of our teen volunteers for spending her afternoon helping us by folding, labeling and securing the scarves in their packages.

In addition to all the crocheting and packaging, we had a visitor from the YWCA who shared with us about the work they do to support survivors of sexual assault. Hearing her tell us about the comfort our scarves bring to ladies at such a tough time was really touching. We were reminded that we really are making a difference, and that though the scarf may seem like a simple item, it really is meaningful to the recipient!
I hope you’ll continue to join us in this good work. All are welcome to join us at our work days each month, or to make scarves on your own and get them to us for packaging!
