Planning for 2026

2025 has been a great year for Threads of Compassion OKC!

We’ve added some new volunteers to our group and we’ve enjoyed our monthly work days. We received some beautiful scarves from the fair, as well as from so many different crafters. We’re so grateful for each one.

It’s a bit hard to believe that it’s already time to look at 2026. But, it will be here before we know it. In fact. our first work day of 2026 is just 16 days away! I’m looking for a fun, new pattern to start the new year. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

You can see the dates of our meetings on this page. They’re basically the first Sunday each month, with a few exceptions.

The first exception is April -due to Easter we’re pushing our meeting back a week to April 12th. Then, we take July off. And, finally we’re going to skip December next year. We have a few volunteers whose schedules prevent them from coming in December, and this year our hostess was the only one present for the December meeting. We’re going to give it a pass next year and see how that goes since it’s such a busy time for so many people.

One new thing we’re thinking about is having a focused time to learn to crochet at our February meeting. We almost always have ladies available who are willing to help others learn, but we thought it could be nice to designate a meeting as a “learn to crochet’ time and see if that is helpful. Please feel free to spread the word if you know people who may want to learn.

The need for scarves continues to be great, and we appreciate each person who takes time to make one and get it to us for packaging and distribution.
